It’s that time of year again…time to prepare for our annual Lighted Night Parade. This year, we will allow floats the opportunity to perform downtown in front of the announcers stage. That will be the ONLY spot floats will be allowed to stop and perform during the parade.
If your organization wishes to perform, please indicate this on your parade application. Our staff will reach out to you to discuss the details. Performances will only be allowed up to 30 seconds to perform in an effort to keep the parade moving. NO EXCEPTIONS. Groups/Floats are not allowed to stop along the parade route to perform. Performances will only be allowed in front of the announcers stage. All performances must be "parade appropriate" and pre approved by the Chamber staff. The Chamber staff will determine the appropriateness of the performance.
Best Float prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
Parade line up will begin at 6:00 pm. Judging will take place during the parade as the floats move past the main stage in downtown at the corner of Ave M and 16th Street. Parade will begin to move at 6:30 to ensure the floats are visible to the crowd promptly at 7:00 pm. If you are not lined up and ready to go by 6:30 pm, the parade will begin without you and you will not be announced downtown nor considered for an award.
